Play Reading
The Play Reading group started in January 2006 and now meets approximately every six weeks in members' houses. Having started with short comedies, we then moved on to a variety of longer plays in different styles. We put on a play reading production of "Haywire", for U3A members only, in 2010, which was a remarkable success.
Our choice of plays has been somewhat restricted by the fact that we only had three male stalwarts; however, last year we managed to entice two more 'enthusiasts'. This has greatly improved the variety of plays we can attempt.
We have a great deal of fun and would welcome more aspiring thespians to the casting couch!
