Want to know more about Climate Change?

Come along to this informative afternoon on Sunday 21st March. All welcome.

The Climate Change Controversy has put science onto the front pages of the national press, and into the opening segments on the TV news. Unfortunately, it is almost impossible for most people to make up their own minds on the issue. Scientists talk in a language most of us can't fathom, and the press is split along political lines that have absolutely no bearing on the validity (or otherwise) of the underlying science.

Bill Fothergill, a retired engineering consultant, has prepared an informal presentation designed to help the "lay" person make up their own mind on Climate Change. This is intended to provide a painless introduction to the subject, and will touch on matters as diverse as... the basic science, measuring and modelling techniques, organisations and publications in the firing line,  arguments for and against, and, most importantly, where to get further information for yourself. If the above is of interest to you, why not come along to what will hopefully be an informative and enjoyable afternoon?

There will be no charge, and tea/biscuits will be available.

WHERE: Bowring Library, Fore St, Moretonhampstead TQ13 8LL.

WHEN: Sunday 21st March. The presentation proper will run from about 1:30pm till 4:00pm with interactive discussions and debate throughout and Bill will be available for questions from 1pm until 5pm (at least)

For more information please contact Bill on 01647 277298.
