Our November meeting is going to be completely different!

For a start - different place, different time.

WHITE HART STAGE SUITE   STARTS 6PM  Thursday 11th November  SUPPER INCLUDED - NO CHARGE !

The Devon -wide organisation known as Devon CAN (short for Climate Action Network) has asked MAGS to host a meeting of Devon CAN with local Climate Action Groups (Chagford, Bovey, Dunsford, Teign Valley and perhaps others).

(Devon CAN started 2 years ago and Richard Foxwell and Adam Harvey went to the inaugural meeting on behalf of MAGS and since then Richard has continued to represent MAGS)

The purpose of the meeting is twofold - first to help all groups to access and use the newly formed Devon CAN website, and second, to exchange ideas, concerns, problems.  The general plan for the evening will be:

  • 6.00 pm :  Arrival - grab a drink if you want one .
  • 6.15 pm :  Supper and  networking.
  • 6.45 pm :  Welcome and introductions .Devon Can Website - presentation and demonstration, followed by Q&A session/ discussion and action plan.

(Please bring a laptop if you have one as we hope to offer hands-on real time experience of using the new site!)

  • 8.00 pm : 5 Minutes from each Group on their objectives, principal activities, and main problems followed by ideas session on overcoming common problems, future sharing of ideas and joint activities.
  • Finally:  Round -up and Close

The evening, including supper, is FREE, but booking is essential for catering purposes. We need to tell the White Hart by Wednesday lunchtime latest how many are coming. The supper will be substantial and warming fare!

To let me know of you can come, just do a quick reply to this email elizzyprince@aol.com or phone 440690

This will be an interesting and enjoyable evening for anyone in Moreton who has an interest in helping to promote sustainable living in Devon. Richard will be chairing the meeting. He and Jane have worked very hard to make it happen (problems with wifi etc!). So please come and support MAGS for the evening.
