New website
I enjoyed the launch of the website at the White Hart on Friday (5/6/09). It was particularly useful, I think, to hear comments from people live as they saw the site unfold on-screen. On the whole I'd agree that the site is easy to use and attractive.
I'd also agree with some of the comments - particularly the news section on the front page, where the date of posting can cause confusion if the news in question is a forthcoming event on a very different date!
As a new resident, I'm looking forward to seeing the site develop and grow overtime.

I'm one of the people responsible for the creation of the site, thanks for being the first to post on these boards and I'm really glad to hear that the site was received well - I'd have liked to have been in the meeting, but unfortunately we were launching another site that day so I was unable to make it.
We're looking at the home page structure with MDT and will hopefully implement a more suited flow of information based on the feedback very soon.
I honestly believe that we've built a very strong engine to power the site, and I love the look of the site - I'm very proud of what the team here achieved. Thus I feel that ultimately, the success of the site will now be down to the management of the information being entered into the control systems - and from what I've seen so far I've no doubt that the site will be an invaluable resource to the people of Moretonhampstead for many years to come.

I agree. The site looks really good and very 'fit for purpose'. I hope people make full use of it.
