Gardening Courses
This is a new venture for the Moretonhampstead Learning Centre. Since there is great interest in gardening and allotments in Moretonhampstead we have decided to offer some specialist courses we hope are of interest to those who are both new and old hands at the subject! Organic Vegetable Growing & Composting with Nicky Scott
A really useful day for budding and experienced vegetable growers! Nicky is RHS trained and highly knowledgeable. This day covers how to start your allotment or vegetable plot from scratch; clearing the ground and barrier mulching including an introduction to permacluture and making your own compost, making cuttings, growing perennials and multiplying, rotations, saving seed and natural pest control as well as making liquid feed with Comfrey. Question and answer session included.You will learn how to break the year into seasons and plan what to grow when. We will be indoors and out so come dressed accordingly!
