Cookery Day for Men with Gabrielle Jackson
Would you like to be able to cook some simple and delicious dishes? This is a day especially for men who would like to cook something interesting and nutritious. Gabrielle will show you the steps to creating different meals on this fun and informative day. All ingredients are provided and there will be lots of tasting and trying! If you are a man and need some cooking tips this is a day not to be missed. If you are a woman and want your man to cook send him a long! No experience necessary.

Dowsing Day with David Lockwood
Curious about dowsing and would like to have a go? Then this is your chance! Learn how to look for energy lines, ley lines and water courses and have fun doing it! The day starts indoors where you learn the basics of how to dowse and then you will go out to try for your self! Please bring a picnic lunch. Dowsing rods and pendulums provided. Children are welcome with a paying adult. Onlt 2 children per paying adult. Children attend free up to 10yrs.

Making the most of your Digital Camera with Merlin Howse
Spend a fun day learning about how to use your digital or phone camera. You will go out and take photographs as a group and then return to the library to download them on to the PC and find out lots of useful tips on making the most of your camera. Lunch will be a picnic whilst you take photographs. Children welcome aged 9 and over. Children up to 10 yrs go free with a paying adult. 2 children free per paying adult only and they remain the responsibility of parents at all times.

Fun Chocolate Day with Gabrielle Jackson
A wonderfully indulgent day for all the family when you can make lovely home made chocolates! Come prepared to get sticky, have a lot of fun and taste lots of chocolate on this truly yummy day! Gabrielle is a well-known Cookery presenter with a wealth of knowledge and has won the 'Best Chocolate Cake in Britain' award. This course is suitable for children of 6yrs and above. Children up to 10yrs go free with a paying adult. Come and have an enjoyable tasty day together!

Family and Local History with Bill Hardiman / Merlin Howse

We all have ancestors but what were they like? Where did they live and work? Were they rich or poor, heroes or villains? How were they affected by major events like wars? Today with the help of information technology at home or in the local library we can find out much about our fascinating family forebears and the places and events connected with them. This course will show you how. We will also cover some interesting local history. No PC experience necessary. Come and rediscover your family roots!

Making the most of your Mobile Phone with Merlin Howse
Have yougot a new mobile phone or are you thinking of getting one? Are you bemused by all the applications on your phone? This si the class for you? Find out how to use your phone and what useful things you can do with it. Learn about taking photos and downloading, accessing th internet, games, texting and texting language and loads more! Bring your phone with you.
