Recycling & Rubbish
Teignbridge currently recycles around 50% of its waste. For help and advice on recycling call the Recycling Team, email or visit the website.
Householders are requested to separate their refuse into recyclable and non-recyclable, each being collected on alternate weeks.
Plastic Items
There is now an improvement to the recycling provision in the town. Residents can now recycle all of their plastic packaging in the new bank in Betton Way car park. All of the following items will be accepted in the new plastic packaging bank; yogurt pots, margarine tubs, plastic bottles and tops, ready meal trays (please remove film lid), plastic sandwich containers, CD cases, Plastic flower pots, plastic fruit containers, pre formed biscuit or chocolate box trays.
Bottle Bank
Takes all glass jars, bottles and containers, but not pyrex or window glass. Facilities situated in Court St Car Park.
Paper Bank
All newspapers and magazines but not Yellow Pages. Facilities situated in Court St Car Park.
Clothing Bank
All clothes, handbags, belts, and shoes (in pairs please!). Please put items in carrier bag. All these facilities situated in Court St Car Park.
Batteries
Household batteries can be recycled using the green recycling box. We CANNOT accept car or lead acid batteries.
Composting

Bulk Rubbish
Bulk rubbish is collected at Court Street car park every other month on the first weekend of the month in a skip. Certain items cannot be collected such as tyres or batteries and will need to be taken to one of the main Recycling Centres at Marsh Barton Exeter or Brunel Trading Estate in Newton Abbot.
The Rural Skip Service
The rural skip service is no longer available.
Please refer to the website for more information. You now have to transport your junk items to one of the Recycling Centres in Devon.

Properjob will take furniture, plants, paint, books and a great deal more to recycle and has a number of shops offering items to buy at very reasonalble prices.
Give them a visit.
