UK-Online Beginners Computing courses ending!
Our UK-Online Beginners Computing courses are coming to an end. This has been a fantastic project where we have had funding from UK-Online to offer free computing courses for complete beginners. This has included going on to email, accessing the internet, learning how to shop or book holidays on-line, learning about Word processing, learning about accessing government websites, filing and lots more useful information. We have had really good feedback about the course despite hiccups with our computers that we have now managed to update with brand new PCs, in our Learning Centre in the library, through a project called Learning Village.
Wendy, our IT tutor, has been a fabulous teacher and has decided to have a break from teaching for a while to catch up with the latest PC systems and lnew teaching methods. We are indebted to her for her patient and friendly mode of teaching the allows learners to feel comfortable no matter what their level. We will miss her! If you happen to be an IT teacher and you are interested in some part-time teaching or if you know of anyone let us know! Please email us!
In the mean time we are continuing with Improvers Computing in September for those who would really like to know more and extend their knowledge. Merlin also offers UK-Online courses on a more informal basis through his IT Surgery on a Tuesday evening so go to the website and book a slot if you are interested.
Thankyou to everyone who has helped us provide these great courses.
