Brand New Green Hill Opening!
Finally the time has arrived! All are welcome to the opening of Green Hill - the refurbished old school, Fore Street, Moretonhampstead, TQ13 8LL on
Saturday 10 December 2011 at 12 noon
This is the result of many years' hard work, and support from many Moreton people, with substantial outside funding. The building contains:
- A new dedicated Youth Centre;
- A new Arts and Heritage Centre, a major visitor attraction we hope;
- Offices to let for local groups, businesses and the Parish Council and;
- Artists' studios to let at affordable rates and easy-in/easy-out terms.
This will also be the first day of our inaugural exhibition "Old School Days." If you saw the recent displays of photos in the Parish Hall, you will find even more to interest you here. The work of children and young people will feature strongly in the exhibition and more people have come forward in recent months with photographs and documents. Volunteers have been recording stories and memories, and there will be a new collection of work by photographer Carol Harvey.
Come along and have a tour of the building and the fantastic new facilities. I hope you will agree that the refurbishment has been done to a high standard and is sensitive to the memories that so many of us have of the building.
Drinks and food will be available and we shall have music, entertainments and art activities for all to enjoy.
Studios, Workspace and Offices TO LET
Low-cost, easy in/easy out studios, stand alone workspace and offices for creative industries are available to let at Green Hill Arts. Spaces will be available from the beginning of December 2011. Light and airy with large windows and skylights, and an active, resident arts and crafts community. Please call 01647 440855 for more details.
