An early, thatched Dartmoor inn, the Ring of Bells has many period features including heavy oak doors, low ceilings and beams – and a grandfather clock built into the wall. The inn is a series of cosy rooms heated by open fires. In the evenings candle light adds to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Set in idyllic North Bovey, the Inn is a popular watering hole for locals and visitors alike with good West Country real ales, an eclectic wine list and an excellent daily-changing menu. It also offers five refurbished en-suite letting rooms.

Located just 100 metres from the town centre and with ample parking, The Walled Garden offers a quiet and secluded retreat in beautiful gardens, views of Dartmoor and a very warm welcome with traditional English breakfast. The house was built in 1985 in the walled kitchen garden of a former convalescent home. Granite walls surround the house on three sides and enclose the pleasantly landscaped gardens which our guests may enjoy. We regret that we do not have the facilities to cater for babies or very young children. Small well-behaved dogs may be accepted with prior notification and will incur a reasonable charge.

Trout River Lodge is a luxurious lodge sitting on the banks of the River Teign as it flows and tumbles on its way downstream from Fingle Bridge. The setting here in Clifford Bridge Park - awarded a gold David Bellamy Conservation Award - is idyllic and perfect for those who want to relax and enjoy the peace and seclusion of this virtually undiscovered part of the Dartmoor National Park. Clifford Bridge Park has only 19 privately owned lodges leaving acres of room for the abundant wildlife and a flower meadow. Numerous walks are possible directly from the lodge, upstream to Fingle Bridge & Castle Drogo or downstream to Steps Bridge and Dunsford Nature Reserve, through woods and gorges and along riverside paths. Bird lovers will enjoy seeing the buzzards soaring overhead or perching on a branch by the river, or spotting heron, dippers and other woodland birds. You may even see a kingfisher or an elusive otter!

Woodley House has magnificent views over the Wray Valley, with its hills and woodland. Sheep and cows graze peacefully on the fields. The Village Inn, where one can enjoy excellent food in an 'olde worlde' atmosphere is within a short walk. We offer a warm welcome, providing cosy en-suite accommodation with sitting area. TV and tea and coffee making facilities. A superb breakfast (AA Best Breakfast Award nominated) can be enjoyed, including Hilary's twelve home made preserves, honey-roast ham, cheeses and, of course, her tasty Devon Grill.
