- Dartmoor Way

The Dartmoor Way is a round-Dartmoor walking and cycling route that passes through Moretonhampstead.
A network of accommodation providers offer baggage delivery at reasonable rates, leaving you the freedom to roam, with your heavy belongings left in safe hands.
The Dartmoor Way has been created by a unique partnership of Dartmoor towns and small businesses. The Dartmoor Way cycle route sweeps around the periphery of the Dartmoor National Park for over 90 miles, linking many towns and attractions along its length, with an option to ride across the centre of the Park via Princetown.

The route has something for everyone - offering a wide variety of cycling experiences on different sections over its length that will suit most abilities. The full route is definitely a challenge, so is for the more experienced riders only, especially the optional off road section, which crosses the moor towards Princetown - needing stamina and a genuine lust for adventure as you take on the challenging hill climbs - but then you do get the benefit of a variety of stunning panoramic views and some long downhill free wheeling.
